I don't know how it would cope with being completely submerged. I hope this helps **Q: How long does it take to dry and does it smell strong?** A: Its oil based so it does smell, takes 4-6 hours to dry **Q: Does this class as non slip or slip resistant please!?** A: I would classify it skip resistant.
