    I have to manually hold the two together when using them on my nice studs.

These come in two parts.  One of the pairs stays together and it does hold the earrings in tightly...however, the other one doesn't stay together.  The flower part slides off behind the post.  I have to manually hold the two together when using them on my nice studs.
