Size up for a comfort fit and size down for a more aggressive performance fit but keep in mind that climbing shoes are supposed to fit very tight and at a minimum your toes should be touching the end of the shoe. Your toes will be curled a bit if you buy a size down for a more performance fit. The shoes come pre downsized! We recommend for new climbers to go up a FULL size from their street shoe size. Because I didn’t know if I was going to like it or not I just rented shoes while I was there and I ended up spending the entire day there and going back the next day because I liked it so much so I talked to a couple girls at the gym and they recommended these shoes so I came home and ordered them that night. I typically wear a size 9, so I ordered a nine and a 10 so I could try them both on at the same time and see which one fit better. The nine did the trick so I returned to the 10. The shoes are made very well. I have plenty of movement in my foot while wearing them and they grip the wall amazingly so I don’t feel like I’m going to slip.
