Expensive? Seemed to be one of the more cost effective gloves on amazon when I shopped for them. Not sure on warranty, but you do not want to use them with electric saws, only gas, as the electric saws provide nearly constant torque which the left glove cannot protect against for more than a tenth of a second or so. **Q: What is the waranty on this ?** A: No warranty I am aware of though if they came defective, I imagine the manufacturer would replace them. I had a different experience than the fellow that wore holes in the fingers in one day. I cut two fairly big oaks (36"diameter, probably 45 feet tall) down and sectioned both of them into fireplace length logs ready for splitting - an all weekend job - without any major wear showing. That being said, I only use the gloves for use with the saw. When I shut the saw off and start rolling things to the splitter and heaving split sections into a pile, I change my gloves to heavy duty neoprene palmed, rubber armored finger top gloves I can get at a local job lot store for $5.00 a pair. I did put some heavy wear on those. **Q: Can you provide information on the sizing?** A: They fit accordingly to large sizes my pair only lasted month before fingers rip open. But tree work ruins any clothes gear pretty fast. Overall good gloves alittle warm in summer though. **Q: “Maintenance instructions” state not machine washable and don’t expose to direct sunlight. Are these suppose to be one time use gloves?** A: Gloves are not one time use. The left glove is kevlar protected and the right is leather like material. Outside use in sunlight is okay, just don't leave them outside in the sun. I would not wash, really no need to.
