They’re simple to use, just cover the fire and let it smother out, with minimal mess afterward. I did quite a bit of looking at different kinds of fire blankets and these had reviews saying they were thick enough to work well. It’s a gift you hope your loved ones never have to use but will be thankful for it if they do. I bought one for me and another for a daughter who like me, has a has stove. My two friends have electric stoves so I don’t think a fire is as likely for them.
