There's a few characteristics of it that are a bit frustrating, such as the row counter doesn't always work as it should and it can be a bit hard to turn the crank at times. Sometimes it's hard to turn because there is an issue with the yarn, but not always it's something I can see. Also I do want to address how hard it was to attach the suction cups to the base ( the struggle was real, I almost had to call for backup ) and the machine is very wobbly. It could be the surface I'm using it on, but it's too cozy where I'm at and it's no problem to just hold on. The downsides are not too bad, very easy to work around. If you want to make easy hats and scarves, this is for you. There's a small leaning curve, but after a few hats I got the hang of it.
