I test shot myself in the foot about 10 inches away and it stings! My shoulder kind of hurts, so when I pump the action, it creates discomfort since you need a good pull. The sights are pretty accurate around 3FT. Takes normal granular table salt, and when you shoot it looks like 10-15 individuals salts that come out, so you have plenty to shoot for each refill. The build is pretty nice and sturdy for a plastic gun. It's awesome, get one!
