Assembly was also easy and fun - they even include glue for the wood dowel holes and an extra wood panel just in case. The hidden drawer in the top step is very useful for reading glasses, earphones, chapstick, whatever little items you keep handy at bedside. Love that. But for me, as it turns out - my bed isn't quite high enough to make these proportions useful. It's almost as if I need just the first step and the second gets in the way. It would be great if Powell offered perhaps different sizes so buyers could purchase the most ergonomically-correct choice.
