They come in two parts: a base and main unit.The base is easy to place anywhere you want and the main light unit just clips into the base.This means it can be easily removed and used to carry around, much like a torch, then replaced in it's unit.The spread of light is much wider than the average torch although it doesn't reach as far.In a 4m x 4m room it is bright enough to see clearly.I bought these following a power cut as I thought it would be a good idea to have some small battery powered alternative light sources. These lights fit the bill exactly and I have one installed in each important room.They are also bright enough to serve as a reading light but are a too bright for a night light.The base is 8.5cm in diameter and has two very strong sticky pads on the back. It also has a hole in the centre into which the light unit can be clipped. The light unit is 10cm in diameter and has a power on/off button in the centre. Battery replacement is also easy.So far I cannot find anything wrong with these lights - bright, easy to install anywhere and practical.A winner. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Handy Auxilliary Lights *by T***F on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 9 May 2014* I bought a pack of three of these to showcase Mrs Wolf's recently-acquiredStar Wars Stormtrooper Helmet which stands enshrined in a small reccessin the back wall of The Cave. As it turned out two of them sufficed to do thejob perfectly well. Each light is powered by 3 AAA batteries and the strengthand spread of the beam is really impressive.
