Then I installed a Vivosun ducted fan to use as a radon pump. Works great and very cheep. It took probably half an hour of drilling to go through an 8 inch slab of concrete (with wire in it) using a battery powered drill, but it did the job. I used a water bottle to keep water in the hole and wash the mud out. Didn't take much water to keep the bit cool at the slow speed I was drilling. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Just what I needed. *by M***T on October 31, 2024* In a recent remodel, to install an island, I found that I needed to drill through the 10 in concrete foundation wall. This did the job. It worked a lot better than I thought it was going to. I was very impressedI used a two and a half inch hole saw to cut through the wooden sill plate of the exterior wall, then swapped to this for the concrete. As others have mentioned this is not quick. It took roughly four and a half hours to drill through 10 in of concrete. As the instructions tell you do not use a hammer drill, this will break the carbide off the drill bit. Keep it slow, keep it clean, and keep it wet and you won't have any problems.I was a little bummed out, spending that much money to drill one hole, but in the long run it was worth it. The plumber I talked to, was going to charge $300, which is more than three times what I paid for this drill bit.I would definitely recommend this to anyone who needs it. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Worth the money *by S***N on April 17, 2025* I drilled 26 hole that ranged from 6” to 9” in concrete with rebar before had to get a new one.
