Easy to use as comes with a little brush inside it. Best of any left in bottle can be kept and used at a later date if stored correctly. Husband not myself used this on our wood burner, some of the rope had come away so needed sticking. Looked at various items but this one seemed different in the fact that it came with a brush to apply not just a squeeze tube. So yes easier to apply. Woodburner was cold and it applied, left to stick then after twenty four hours we lit the stove but only on a low light and kept it like that until about an hour later than put the air vents to make it hotter. So gradually heated it rather than having a roaring fire blazing away in it. Well it stayed stuck ok. Next morning opened it up and yes still in place. So yes happy with product and even more so for the cost as cheaper than some others. Only thing I will say is that the instructions on back of plastic packaging a little hard to understand. We only did a small corner section of ours but there would be easily enough for the full size of our woodburner rope to be done and not done lightly. Had the wood burner going all day for two days since having this in one rope and stayed stuck fast so yes would recommend it. Husband did say there was a knack to doing it but if you look on the web there is a clip showing you what best way to do it. Soaking the rope first so that it absorbs the glue better and fits into the rim to fit better.
