I have played for over 15 years and wanted to teach him. I bought him a practice violin and saw these strings on Amazon and they were fairly cheap so I bought a few so I could teach him to tune his own violin without worrying about them snapping and wasting money. None of them broke (thankfully) and they play pretty well.
