No instructions either so I'm not sure if the mistake was poorly drilled holes or mistakenly included hardware.Once I bought smaller screws the small hooks worked. Arrived on time, and I would have already had them up BUT I didn't know the space between screws and guessed too short (my bad). I screwed a piece of 2x4 to the wall to hold the hangers and I am now adding a second 2x4 to make the span wide enough I don't split the wood. Hoping these will take the weight but as we have similar ones at my old house I am positive they will fit the bill. And as I am planning on hanging heavy stuff I have 2 1/2 inch screws to hang these with.
