With a room temperature of 24c I think this hard drive needs active cooling or will be problematic, even for a single hard drive. They have Dates of Manufacture range from Feb-2020 to Dec-2021. When I check the "Warranty and Replacements" section on Seagate's website using the drive's serial number, I'm informed the drive is not warrantied by Seagate and to contact the seller. After reading others having success with registering the drive; I created an account and registered four drives on Seagate's website. Now when I log into my Seagate account, the four registered drives have a valid warranty that expires in 34 days. Four drives were registered on 1/17/2023, warranty is valid until 2/20/2023. Oddly when When I go back the "Warranty and Replacements" section on Seagate's website, the results are the same as before they were registered. Not warrantied by Seagate... I will wait a month or two and register the fifth drive to see if Seagate is generously offering me a "30" day warranty because I registered their product. I will try registering the last drive a year from now and see what happens... **Q: What's the rotational speed?** A: It is 7200rpm drive. In a raid 5 on an adaptec 6gb/s card I get 210mb/s access speed average. Very good drives. **Q: Is this drive (st3000nm0023) cmr?** A: Yes this is CMR and this is Server HDD with SAS Interface (not SATA).
