## Description

Review: A Good, Reliable, Solid Piece Of Gear - Had that tiny, super-light, Chinese-made titanium stove, before this one and the top of it popped off for some reason. Got it back on but was afraid to use it afterwards. Not sure if it was safe anymore and ordered the Snow Peak Titanium Stove, which from the photo looked somewhat more substantial. It has a sturdy, wide, expandable base, big enough for a large pot to sit comfortably balanced on. Wasn't sure how much weight it could hold, but it easily held a fairly large, (1400 ml) pot, nearly filled to capacity with fish and liquid. Folds up into a nice, small size that's easy to stash in a cup or small pot, along with a gas canister. Lastly, the regulator holds a steady, even, low flame making it easy to simmer on. No complaints. A good, lightweight, reliable, solid piece of gear.
Review: A great replacement for my original MSR Pocket Rocket - I purchased the Snow Peak LiteMax because I wanted my lightweight backpacking cook system (pictured) to fit in a single Toaks 750 ml pot, which my old MSR Pocket Rocket didn't allow me to do as it didn't fit in my pot. This left me with a few options. I narrowed it down to the super light BRS 3000 stove (that ultralight backpackers rave about), an MSR Pocket Rocket 2, or this Snow Peak LiteMax. Ended up going with the LiteMax and I'm glad I did. The advertised weight is accurate. Build quality appears to be quite nice. I love how the fuel knob folds up nicely underneath the stove when not in use. The stove isn't as noisy as my Pocket Rocket, which is pretty sweet but it definitely does make noise especially on the highest setting. The pot stand is very accommodating to different sized pots and I imagine it's very stable due to how relatively flat they are. My only issue with the pot stand is the little feet that come out of the main part of the pot stand are a little hard to close. Maybe these will loosen up with more use. Overall, I'm really excited to use this stove during the upcoming season and hopefully for many seasons to come

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Can you use other canisters than the snowpeak?**
A: Thanks for your question. As long as you are using a canister containing Isobutane-propane fuel you should be good to go!

**Q: Where are these made (i.e. country of origin)?**
A: "Made in Korea" was printed on the box and a small tag attached to the stove.

**Q: what exactly is included in the package?**
A: This includes the stove only. Fuel is sold separately.

**Q: Are recently manufactured litemax titanium stoves "made in korea" (as snown on the box) or in japan, as stated by snow peak elsewhere?**
A: It's been a while so I don't have the box but seems like it did say design in Japan, made in Korea. Was a little aggitated by that but, It is my favorite of 3 stoves. Seems like the flame dispursion is better as it comes out the top and sides. My other 2, one centers in the middle, the other is an outter ring that is better for pans but not 750-900ml cups/pots. It's pricey but it does seem better built. I watched a long time and price dropped to 46 so I snagged one. I assumed when it's advertised as designed in Japan its probably made a China but it wasn't, pretty sure Korea, hope this helps

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Extremely compact, lightweight and clean stove
*by M***. on October 22, 2024*

Great product that fits easily in a mess kit. The isobutane canisters get a little tippy when you've got a loaded pot sitting on top of the stove, so it's worth the money to get a stabilizer kit like the MSR universal fuel canister stand.
