If you want to use this for your home you need to understand deeper levels of networking. with that out of the way, the product is fantastic. a bunch of the devices (printer, NAS, security cameras) on my network i do not wish to have ANY contact with the internet. I easily configured them that way. I can use my web domain and my security certificates to securely connect to my network and then access my NAS etc. my old router has the ability to VPN into it, but the levels of security were laughable compared to this product. other devices on my network have various levels of access to the internet but it is highly controlled. IT was shipped in the inner clamshell box. It had a label put on it, not taped closed. We opened it up and the license to the device to be updated t the latest firmware had already expired. We were not able to perform any testing. It was purchased for that reason.
