Besides, the source disk should be plugged into slot A and is defined as the disk that you could copy files and datum from it to another target disk. BTW, if the following conditions could be met, the off-line clone could be finished. 1. Make sure that the drives are fine and have no bad blocks. 2. Make sure there's no cable connection between the docking station and the computer. 3. A is the drive to be cloned, B is the target drive to clone, the real capacity of drives requires B≥A. 4. I copied 120 gb SSD in under 5 minutes it is much faster than using a software clone. Also has no issues with cloning a windows disk partition. A software clone sometimes will not boot up, however using this device each drive sector is copied just like the original. The long nights of cloning drives are over. This thing cloned my Shield drive in less than an hour and without a computer. Simply plug the original in slot A (top) and the destination drive on slob B (Bottom). No need to format the destination drive.Then Press and hold the clone button for 3 seconds. When you see the blue light flashing, let it go and quickly press and release the clone button again.
