There was a considerable amount of white, chalky sediment to be scraped off and cleaned up before I could do anything else. These filters were half the price that Sears were quoting me and took about 2 weeks to arrive. They were both a little dented (maybe look at the packaging materials, please?) but are working just fine. I would have liked basic instructions for installing them (remember, I am the pink, sparkly girl) as I had no idea where to put the wick thing or if there was a right or wrong way up.
