Five Star High Quality Linear Actuator ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Nice little a axis *by D***S on August 21, 2023* I have built multiple CNC machines, and I always start with the z axis. The z travel defines much of the geometry of the rest of the machine, and having a known assembly to start with makes the design of the other axes much more straightforward. This assembly has a travel of 100mm (4”) so it has plenty of capacity for most cnc routers, plasma cutters and other similar devices. I am using this to move a tufting gun in and out of the fabric area when changing yarn or moving to a non-adjacent area to fill. The Nema 23 motor and ball screw provide plenty of power for this kind of application where cutting forces are not applicable. This unit is high quality and priced right.
