The problem? The songs just are not as memorable as those on "Pale Fire." I almost would call this a pale imitation of that record, but that's too obvious. There's nothing "off" or "sour" here. The problem here is that these songs just refuse to make any impression whatsoever on the listener. It's like eating a bowl of popcorn for dinner.
