I don't have any professional saw or tools. Thanks for any help.** A: Table saw is best but a jig saw works too. If no power tools available you can use a hand saw but it will take a while and the cut may not be the straightest. **Q: How much weight can i place on the sheet with out it bending if it is the suspended in the air by the short edges?** A: I can't tell you how much weight, but I can tell you this. I use my lexan sheet as a cover for my 30 gal. aquarium and after a couple of weeks it does start to sag a little. I just flip it over every month or so. **Q: Can it be etched and cut with a laser?** A: Usually polycarbonate melts and produces brown bubbles under the laser beam. I tried both 1064 and 532 nm - neither worked. Maybe 216nm or 10.6 um will do. **Q: If i set this into a custom window with it into edges about an inch how easy to break in?** A: I made a custom window. The key is using a strong backing with screws. As with anything, if they want in they can break in.
