They are so delicate that they have to be hand-picked. Capers are perfect for flavouring tomato sauces, creamy sauces, and pâtés. Great as garnishes, too. Rinse off the salt before use. In a glass jar (net weight: 90g / 3.17oz). Ingredients: 80% capers, sea salt. La Nicchia is a traditional small farm located on the Sicilian island of Pantelleria. Established in 1949, it specializes mainly in the cultivation of caper bushes. Experimentation on island's iconic produce is key in La Nicchia's processing facilities, where passion and wisdom come into play to find out new ways of reinterpreting those farm products that made this one-of-a-kind island world-famous. Pantelleria's produce is processed as simply as possible, respecting its uniqueness. The artisanal production by La Nicchia encompasses dried, powdered, or preserved capers (in salt, pickled, or in oil), in addition to caper leaves and berries, oregano, savoury spreads, and delicacies prepared with the local Zibibbo grape.
