I chose this item after reading the reviews. They were spot on. I am so pleased that I did.There is no sound from the transformer when in operation and works well.The service toowas excellent. it arrived well packed and much sooner than I had expected. I would certainlyrecommend this item but always check your requirements as this particular transformer willpower apparatus up to 100 watts.

I've been using this for four years. It still works, is quiet (very slight buzzing when right next to it but hardly noticeable otherwise).Draws about 5.2W (power factor 0.2) without a load connected: so you'll want to turn it off when not using it.

I ordered two of these step down transformers.  We recently relocated to the UK and my first test was to use this for my Sous Vide cooker.Both units burned up within 90 seconds.  In the photo notice the smoke coming from the housing.  Perhaps a single transformer could be defective, but two?
