Review: Quality - So this seems to be decent emulsion. I’m still need to screen printing and this is the second kind. I’ve tried the first one completely failed, but you can see in the pictures that I’m still testing it out as you can see some turned out horrible and one turned out decently good. I’ve learned with this stuff that about 3 1/2 minutes under the exposure. Light seems to break apart. This emotion pretty good at anything under or over that either overexpose is it or under exposes it. And I’m using a 20 voltage light. Overall it’s very sticky and I did spill it on my floor and it will never come out again. I guess that’s just the case with all emotion though I’ve only had it for a few weeks so so far it’s lasted and I’m still learning how to screen print so don’t expect it to fail for you as well, but after a few tries, I got it down and I had a decent screen!

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Why does a post exposed screen blow out my image?**
A: Maybe your original exposure was not long enough? I don't know what exposure method you used. I suggest you download an exposure calculator to get the correct exposure time dialed in correctly. (Yes, it sucks to do this extra step, especially if you're inpatient, but will help you out in the long run). I aslo suggest you watch some of Ryonets over/under exposure videos to see which problem you're experiencing. I've learned everything from YouTube.

**Q: how do you know if it is over exposed?**
A: If your image is difficult to wash out and you cannot see the details this is an indication that you over exposed your screen.

**Q: What is the recommended exposure time with 500 Watt Halogen exposure source?**
A: We suggest 12 minutes and then tuning the time from there

**Q: Can anyone provide any info related to sun exposure times? I know there are lots of variables, but has anyone done it successfully with this emulsion?**
A: Yes, I have successfully exposed 160-230 mesh screens with this emulsion. Didn't try halftones, but nevertheless very detailed line image on the 230 or higher. You have to experiment with exposure times based on your geographical area, time of day/year. You could use an exposure calculator to take away a bit of the guess work.
I exposed between noon and 3 pm. Exposure times are nowhere near as long as traditional exposure units/halogen lamps.
The thickness of your screen coating will also affect exposure time. You might come across nay-sayers, but I had great results after doing lots of research (screen printing forums/reddit/YouTube etc)

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works great, easy to get, lasts a long time.
*by T***Y on August 2, 2024*

I mixed this over 2 months ago and it’s still working great. Just setting my shop up after a 10 year hiatus from screen printing. Gave this a shot and it worked well with 2 500w halogen bulbs from 24”- took about 8 minutes. I’ve recently purchased an LED exposure unit and using a step calculator I’ve got my exposure down to 117 seconds on 125 mesh. Buying quart sizes as I don’t have an even flow of business, but it works great and lasts a long time. I’ve printed over 72 shirts on 1 screen and haven’t had problems. No pin holes, washes out easy, screens reclaim easily. Would recommend using the free step calculator PDF from Anthem Screen Printing before trying to expose anything.
