Since then I have never seen it in a store. I can only find identically packaged minced garlic, which is not what I want. But now I am on my last jar from that stash, and my search brought me to this case. It was a tough call. I had to ask myself if I shouldn't just get used to the minced garlic, since this case winds up costing almost twice as much per jar. Then there's the shelf life issue. I had no way to know what the expiration date would be, and how long would it take to use 12 jars anyway? But I bought it, and I'm glad I did. The case arrived in perfect condition and with an expiration date 2.5 years away; I have found unopened jars keep their "potency" well past the date stamped on the jar, but that was still a relief. A word about the packaging. This rather small case was shipped in a comically huge box with styrofoam lining, a freeze pack, and tons of air packs. Understandable, because the package stunk to high heaven of garlic even with no breakage; perfectly sealed and the smell still comes through, so imagine if one of these broke in the back of a UPS truck.
