It is wide with three panels.-I use it to block off a 42" walkway to another hallway where my dogs like to pee sometimes. When I want to have access to a bedroom in that hallway the gate is easily moveable to just block a regular hallway width--I think 36" or so.-The feet can be used to stabilize the gate, but I haven't needed to use them, they do not fit the gate tightly they just drop on the gate where you need them. If I end up using them I will line the cut out in the foot with felt or something because it is not a snug fit.-If you have an aggressive dog or a large clumsy dog this gate is not for dogs that need to be restrained - or for little dogs that would maybe try and prop themselves up to it - they could in some configurations push it over. If you have well behaved dogs who just need a visual barrier as a clue that they can't pass this point it is a great product.-Looks like a furniture -- NOT plastic. Well made. Does NOT look like dog prison.-Lot's of ways to place the gate. Versatile.-Really happy with this product. This gate does look exactly as pictured and comes already assembled all you have to do is put the feet on the bottom which is very easy. What I like about this gate is the option to order 3 or 4 panels and the height options... I also like the color and how classy it looks.. That being said I'm sad to report that this gate can be easily pushed aside whether it is on carpet or hard floors. If you have a dog that is like mine and is stubborn and does not like boundaries... they will slide this gate right on over.. It became clear to me that I had to put something heavy on each end of the gate to stabilize it and to keep her from pushing it over... The feet do help keep the gate stabilized mostly but they do not prevent the gate from being slid over!! Before I put the 2 pieces together (zip tied the 2 gates to make 1 piece)...I had one section of the 4 panels blocking a doorway and my 55 lb. female pit slid it over like it was nothing.... she came running down the hall looking at me like. "is that all you got??" Lol It was then I knew the gate has to be set up and stabilized so that it cannot be slid to the side... If you can figure that problem out then I think overall it's a good gate....
