I am sure I would have destroyed the motor and gear if I continued. With the puller, the gear came of using only finger pressure on the screw, very easy to set up and use, no damage to my equipment. No bending of the push pin. I did measure the motor shaft, so I could select the thickest pin that would not get stuck in the gear. I am sure I will use this again. I would buy this again. My first impression upon unpacking was that the unit was tiny, I didn't know they made gear pullers this small.
