It is bare metal, no corrosion in sight. The bottom one is before jenolite. It looks like it spent the last 25 years in the bottom of a ditch. Note, jenolite does not remove oils and grease, but it does remove rust, well. Review: Works well on light rust, but good old elbow grease helps - It work fairly well. Started fizzing as soon as I brushed it on the rust. It took quite a bit of extra wire brushing, waiting, then repeating to get rid of 90% of the rust. The photo is after 3 days of work. I brushed on the liquid (following instructions), used a wire bush on tough spots, then used Autosol metal polish on the pipes to finish. You don't get much for your money in the bottle but is better than vinegar or WD40 I think.
