If you need less than that, you need to use the handle. Based on our reading, this is a difference compared to other faucets like delta's touch ones where the flow can be adjusted while using the touch sensor. Another key difference if you're debating like we were is that with the motion sensor to the side of the base, expect to wipe up some water around the base. Older models we had seen had a sensor at the top of the arc which allowed use of the sensor while drops would fall into the sink - but no longer available. With deltas touch, you can touch at the top of the arc /anywhere so this wouldn't be a problem. Still happy with our choice but important differences we discovered between the 2 offerings. I don't like it facing the side.** A: It can definitely be installed to face the user. Pulling it forward in that installation will turn the water on, and going left/right for hot/cold (hot on the left, cold on the right) can be adjusted by using the opposite of the labelled hose. **Q: Is the sprayer head plastic or metal?** A: Plastic. Which I knew when I purchased the unit. Extremely happy with the faucet. I don’t know the faucet does it. But the water pressure or acceleration is amazing. Actuality at times I have to lower the pressure with the lever. But good to have when you need it. As far as longevity it can’t be answered after 3-4 months. At first thought it would seem a metal head would last longer. But with metal there are corrosion issues interacting with the minerals naturally occurring in the water supply. That probably wouldn’t occur with plastic.
