You can also buy a hedge trimmer attachment that you slot in when you remove the chainsaw attachment. For extra reach you can get an extension pole which increases overall length by around 700mm.I have all of these attachments and would thoroughly recommend this tool. The only downside side is that it is quite heavy and with the extention tube fitted, due to the extra moment, becomes heavier. Damn good tool all the same. **Q: What is the overall effective maximum cutting height of the tool, without the extra extension pole?** A: This will depend upon your height, of course. I am 6 feet tall and the results are based on this. Without the extention pole the overall tip to base length of the tool is 2 metres and the blade length is 250mm, inclusive in the 2 metres. Cutting at the middle of the blade, a comfortable height is 3.1 metres from the ground. With the extention pole fitted all dimensions increase by around 700mm. I believe that if you don't purchase the extention pole there could come a time when you regret it! The tool is very good quality and as such is a little heavy but rather that than poor, flimsy, quality and lighter. It has worked very well for me. I hope that this is helpful. John **Q: is it under powered** A: Hi. not at all. i use it on my farm where i do not want to use my petrol chainsaw, i am not trained in using a chainsaw at height, and it does a great job on think pieces of wood. **Q: Is it difficult to engage the motor with the attachment** A: The chain saw attachment was easy to set up and use but my son got "scissor happy" and cut the whole tree down to the trunk with it.Then cut the boughs & branches into small pieces. When I came to use it a few months later it failed to drive and to date I have not repaired it, as I have no urgent use for the chain saw, it remains in my garage. The power unit is fine as it drives the hedge trimmer with no problem. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Gone Astray - finally arrived *by 5***T on 9 March 2013* Purchasing a product called Bosch one tends to expect German effiiency.Obviously this must be made elsewhere as it was programmed for release in January 2013.It now being March and the trees are beginning to bud, the product has not appeared. Is this due to Bosch or Amazon? Finally arrived, fortunately the cold weather held tree growth back.Excellent piece of kit, chainsaw cuts through much larger branches than expected.Ordered and used extension pole and will be buying hedge trimmer fitting later. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Not your dad's chainsaw. *by J***. on 6 November 2018* It took a while to get the lubricant onto the entire chain for better cutting. Very little power and with the limited teeth on the chain and the semi ridged aluminum pole, it bounces a bit when coming into contact with any wood. Still managed to get through anything I was cutting... eventually. Like most chainsaws, let it do the work. There is no forcing this one through even the softest wood. Not like dad's 120cc 9 hp saw. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Clever design and good quality manufacture. *by A***R on 30 November 2016* The machine arrived as promised. It seems well made. You have to hold the saw lighly in the cut or the pole will shake and twist. What is comforting is that the branch or trunk is 2 metres away from you when it falls. Much safer than a regular chain saw. Easy to use and control, no fumes, no tingling vibrations, no fuel to buy. But it does use a lot of chain oil. Also the carabiner clip that hold the shoulder strap to the motor housing is very weak. The spring shutter on the carabiner failed before I even used the saw. So the carabiner is the only poor component. Everything else seems good. Another nice touch is that because it plugs together in the middle, you can store the parts in a much shorter area than a pole saw that stays in one piece.A further nice touch is that the weight is balanced between the near end and the far end, horizontal cuts are easy since there is no strain to hold the pole horizontal. On the whole I am very pleased with the machine. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.pl/products/55358986-bosch-amw-10-sg-multi-tool-with-pole-pruner-attachment](https://www.desertcart.pl/products/55358986-bosch-amw-10-sg-multi-tool-with-pole-pruner-attachment) --- *Product available on Desertcart Poland* *Store origin: PL* *Last updated: 2026-10-18*
