Oil, grease and water are not absorbed by the surface, but remain on the surface (12 to 36 hours on polished marble and limestone, up to 48 hours on granite and gneiss). During this time, oil can easily be removed without leaving stains. The effectiveness depends on the amount of product absorbed by the surface. The appearance of the natural stone is not affected. Some stones may become slightly darker in colour. The water absorbency of the stone is greatly reduced; the water permeability is only slightly affected. If this happens to you, you just need to reapply the product, which will effectively cause the applied product to go back to a liquid state again, and you can then just wipe it all off with a cloth, allowing you to start again.
