After raking the face with a razor this lotion feels great, and leaves the face smooth and soft. The smell of this aftershave is a cross between furniture polish, and horse lineament. After the initial smell wears off, there is a pine tar aroma that is left. You will either like it or hate it. My wife does not like the smell of this, and says it smells weird. I like it.
