You can't ask for better customer service than that! I decided to keep the product anyway because it does work as advertised and will be useful for working with 2x4s. The picture and description both clearly show the product as about 4x3 inches. However, I didn't look closely enough and just assumed it would be the same size as my other traditional squares which are all 12-18 inches on the long side. Imagine my surprise when I got this tiny box in the mail that's about the size of a deck of cards. To mark a line on a 2x16 deck board, for example, you'd have to add another straight edge in order to score the majority of the board. Oh well, my bad. The product itself is well machined and seems to be well made.
