I did season the pan with canola oil after I washed it and prior to cooking. I’ve used the big pot to boil water for tea. So far they are holding up very well. They wash up easily and have not stained. I use silicone utensils to prevent scratching. I believe this set will last a while as long as you take care of them, and add oil or butter even though they are nonstick. They are also appealing to the eye. The color is like a beige/cream. I definitely recommend this set if you’re looking for something basic, inexpensive, and non toxic. Edit: After having it for a year, the pans are starting to wear down. The smaller frying pan is no longer non stick and certain foods stick to the pan even after applying oil. Other pans are starting to chip within the ceramic coating.
