Review: Shockingly good for the price - This watch is shockingly good for the price. I don't know what the Swiss are going to do in 5 years. It has a classic, vintage style that is reminiscent of 1960s watches, with a "top hat" domed crystal. The best feature, however, is the Seiko/TMI VH60B "mecha-quartz" movement, which ticks about 3 times a second, so it genuinely looks like an old-school low-beat mechanical watch--just like my Vulcain Cricket. The case, hand and dial finishing are very good. The bracelet is also very nice with solid end links. It does have some sharp edges in spots, so if that bothers you, you might just want to lightly file or sand around the clasp area. But I plan to wear it on a leather NATO strap. Lastly, I purchased the sand colored dial. It has nice depth that looks great outdoors in the sunlight. You can see the shadows on the dunes by holding it at different angles.
