While it does take two people to install it, I like that I don't have to screw it into the wall, and it adds like a quarter inch to the gate which works for us, because we needed a little bit of extra space on the side for our cats to squeeze through, but you should keep in mind when deciding on what size date to buy. I especially love how much sturdier the Wall Nanny makes our gates! Our dogs have knocked over previous tension gates, which did a lot of damage to the walls, and our toddler has started shaking the gates trying to get out, but the Wall Nanny keeps it in place AND protects the walls from the tension rods!
