When I installed it next to the switch, it only showed one bar of signal strength. Speed test resulted in only 2 to 3Mbs of speed.I bought this antenna and installed it on the roof of the building. After removing one of the 4 antennas on the gateway and hooking this up, the signal strength went up to 3 bars. Internet speed increased to 9 to 10Mbs also.
