It is advised to distance the IT receiver from any plasma TV or display ability to control multiple appliances at various locations up to 10 m1. 5. Connect IR receiver to any of the 3.5 mm ports on the IR transceiver,IF 2 or more IR receiver are connected, the distance between 2 IR receiver should not be less than 6 m to avoid interference. 6. Review: Few small quirks but good - I have used it both with an AV that supports an IR In 3.5mm port (had to get a mono 3.5mm cable) and the IR re-transmitters stuck to the front of my Denon AVX-2400H and it works really well with the included IR Receiver. However I tried to add another IR Receiver to the input side and it didn't work, it detected a steady IR on signal, so if you have IR Receivers hard wired or have your own setup from another company be warned I found this incompatibility. Maybe the 3.5mm jack poles are reversed depending on the vendor... After setting this up and encountering an issue whereby it went haywire due to an LED strip giving off enough IR to the receiver, I had another issue with it where it would not work no matter what I tried. A series of unplugging different things out and in again got it working and I've had no issues with it since. Not the most straightforward install for me but once I got round these quirks it's been working great.

I have used it both with an AV that supports an IR In 3.5mm port (had to get a mono 3.5mm cable) and the IR re-transmitters stuck to the front of my Denon AVX-2400H and it works really well with the included IR Receiver. However I tried to add another IR Receiver to the input side and it didn't work, it detected a steady IR on signal, so if you have IR Receivers hard wired or have your own setup from another company be warned I found this incompatibility. Maybe the 3.5mm jack poles are reversed depending on the vendor... Bought this after moving my entertainment system to a hidden room. Works perfectly with my Yamaha surround sound amplifier and with the Virgin Media V6 box (however I did discover V6 remote uses RF so this is no longer needed) Sticky pads are good, some are put on a bit inaccurately and cover the IR emitter but you get so many emitters I'm sure you'll find plenty of good ones.
