Review: The Epitome of 'Locking In' - I feel like the Daily Stoic Journal is easy to pick up anytime during the year. You have 52 different weeks & a theme for each week. I started on the week about "Dealing with Haters" - because I was dealing with a stalker at the time. Then I started working from week one. I feel like as long as you see through the week you've chosen, you can pretty much do the journal in any order. However, I feel like the Daily Stoic BOOK can be a little more difficult to keep up with if you don't start at the beginning of the year. Just be sure to mark your place & you'll be fine. I started in August & I'm on January 22nd in the book? I would recommend doing this one start to finish. There's chapters/steps that help you get a well-rounded understanding of Stoicism. Sometimes I find myself referring back to The Book when writing in the journal. But I do find the book to be less impactful on my life than the journal. Highly recommend doing them both daily. Also, I would recommend looking into other philosophies as well. I enjoy Stoicism for controlling one's mind & actions. But some of the concepts about man's place in nature & purpose isn't for me. Later teachings lean towards Altruistic ideologies, which have their place. But I fear that in the wrong hands, Stoicism could be dangerous for a people pleaser.
