I eat a diet rich in fruits, veggies, seeds, coconuts, spiraling, chlorella, hemp powder, raw vegan protein powder, quinoa, & black rice. Unfortunately that did not clear my skin up along. I recently started fermenting veggies and taking more vitamins, minerals, and herbs. I wish I could go into more detail, but there's so much I have done and it would be 10 paragraphs. It works by increasing the rate at which skin cells shed and by breaking down bacteria inside the pore. Theoretically, yes, continued use should reduce blackheads (blackheads and regular pimples are really quite similar). I personally have not used this product, so I can’t speak to its efficacy, but it contains the correct ingredients for treating blackheads. You should see improvement with regular use as long as you maintain good skincare practices. **Q: How are any of these product on people with oily skin? Did it work just as well? My skin is very oily and a little bit sensitive.** A: I have oily skin and I love these products! If you have sensitive skin I would say to stear away from the astringent, it can irritate your skin easily. Also I would recommend buying them at a local store like target. Ive noticed some leakage during shipment, but only with the thinner products like the acne dote wash. **Q: What is the difference between this and the Alba oil control lotion?** A: The gel is just a spot treatment (think like medication)to put on and treat the individual blemishes specifically. The lotion is a full face product you would use like any other moisturizer. It does help with oil control as well aid in blemish treatment, but it's not as targeted as the gel. You could use both (it is intended, if wanted).
