Three months after I installed it started flickering and within 2 days, the light made a pop noise and burned out. I cannot return because it is out of return window. So, lesson learned, effectively no warranty fir a craptacular bulb advertised for very long life. So far, this has coat me about $40 for the two failed bulbs.

A large globe is needed for some lamps so they won't look silly. The cost is substantial, so don't expect a lot of money savings with this LED bulb. But it is indeed very bright, and evenly so.
