I already had one of these tripods minus the quick release plate. After some quick measuring, I decided that the 40mm Harwerrel quick release plate was the most likely to be a fit for my old tripod. It's a good quality plate, made from machined aluminium, and fits squarely into the plate recess of the Miranda Pro Video 1 tripod's swivel head. The locking handle mechanism, however, does NOT close fully but it is tight enough to ensure that the camera remains in place. I believe that with a little filing of the beveled edge of the plate, it could be made to fit snugly. I would not chance using it with heavier/more expensive cameras until I have made it lock fully, but for now it is good enough for lighter equipment. The ¼" screw with a convenient "D" ring and the rubber pads on the top face will help prevent camera slippage. Overall, I'm very impressed. I believe Giottos ball heads have proprietary system, so unlikely to fit. **Q: I have a miranda tp35 tripod. Will this fit?** A: This is a plate to attach a camera to an arca swiss compatible ballhead. If the clamp on the ballhead on the tp35 tripod is arca swiss compatible then it will fit. If it isn't, it will not fit. My guess given the make and model of your tripod is that it will not have arca swiss compatible components. Generally they are found on high end models. **Q: The image illustrates 2 Allen bolts on the underside of the plate. Can these be removed? What is their purpose?** A: They stop the plate sliding sideways out of the tripod head if it becomes loose. Due to the different specifications of the area-Swiss ‘standard’ some heads you will need to remove one of the bolts to get the head to mount. Perfect and decent value. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very sturdy *by J***Y on 26 April 2022* Arrived in good time and is very sturdy. Note that this is made of metal so don't think that you can shave a bit off if it is a tight fit. I noticed a question from someone with a Miranda TP35 tripod asking if this would fit - well, yes and no. The block will slide into the hole ok, but it is just slightly too long for the retaining clip to spring up and hold it in place. It is useable, just don't carry it with the camera in it. It is NOT square, and the fact that the grooves are only on one side means that it can't be turned round and put in another way.
