Please note this is for Q series CPU, but an earlier one, say late 90's,early 2000's? It's the connector which has the plastic piece in the middle and 6 pins around it not the 11pin version for the FX series. It said I needed a driver but it worked straight off the bat for me by selecting the chosen com port of 3 from the drop down menu in GXWorks2/developer. NB don't forget to connect via rs232 option as it won't recognise USB due to the age of the PLC CPU. Allowed me to make online forces and changes as well.
