GSTOP is inactive when stationary and only triggers under moderately heavy braking (depending on installation). GSTOP does not flash constantly / continuously like all other illegal for road use brake light flasher. GSTOP is a smart microprocessor based device that utilises a Bosch high speed digital accelerometer to monitor deceleration. GSTOP factory pre-set configuration: 2x G-Force Triggers preset at 0.6G and 0.8G G-Trigger Timers preset at 2.0 and 3.0 seconds Pulse Frequency preset at 2Hz / 3Hz Review: Excellent bit of kit - Excellent bit of kit! Test harness was great, I was able to test how it works, I stuck to the dash to see how much force is required to activate the system. Install was very easy, the module itself it very small, the supplied connectors made it a doddle and have grease inside so should to some extent stop water getting in and corroding the connections. Simply cut the positive line and use the 2 supplied connectors to attach the red wires. Splice into the ground and attach or cut the ground and use the supplied connector. Once fitted you could always adjust the angle it sits at to change how much braking force is required to activate. Overall for a £8 product it is a great bit of kit. Review: Such a simple peice of kit with such a big benefit. - A simple and cost effective way make yourself more visible day and night. This was easy to fit though I had to solder my connections as the wires on my MT10 were too thick for the included terminals. Under normal braking your brake light functions normally but under more harsher braking it flashes until you release the brake lever. I'd like to see the light continue to flash after brake release under some internal relayed timer for a few seconds to keep those behind alerted once you come to a stop. This is only a preference and by no means a grip on what is an excellent bit of kit. If you do one thing to help keep you seen and safe fit this. We are looking into making a BIKE version in the future. **Q: Thanks, I can't test it on the bike now. Is another test possible besides the internal one? Say moving your arm fast from the left to the right.** A: Because the firmware has error correction enabled so that road vibrations, bumps and knocks etc do not cause nuisance activation, it's not possible to activate GStop with fast movements. You can however tilt the forwards arrow towards the gravity (the ground) which will exert more than the trigger limit required for a sustained period of time to activate the flashing. GStop also ships with a bench test loom, so you can connect a 9v battery to it and place it in a temporary location such as passenger seat in a car in order to test and adjust before permanent installation. The test look includes a signal light to display when the flash is active. :-) Hope this helps. **Q: Can this be wired in to work with existing brake light?** A: Yes thats how you wire it straight in the brake light circuit . only two wires.dead easy **Q: Does this product work with a combined brake and running light?** A: Providing the unit in question is not a modulated single filament lamp (single circuit), if the unit has a separate circuit to the side light and another for the brake light, then yes, the device will be suitable, you will install to the brake light feed wire only.
