This modern looking gauge is only 3/4" thick and extremely ergonomic, fits comfortably in your hand. This meter simplifies things with its two-button operation; one for on/off, the other for calibration. The HI98107 meter features a large, multi-level LCD display that simultaneously displays pH and temperature readings. The pH readings are shown at a resolution of 0.1 pH and with an accuracy of ± 0.1 pH. The pH range of HI98107 is 0.0 to 14.0 pH. An exposed temperature sensor allows for rapid and automatic temperature compensated pH measurements. The temperature to be displayed can be adjusted. The LCD display has stability and calibration indicators. The battery percentage level is displayed at startup alerting the user of the remaining available battery charge. The pH electrode uses a unique reference cell design using a removable tissue joint. A jammed joint will normally show erratic readings that will not stabilize. Simply removing a small portion of the tissue from the meter will clean up any obstructions, exposing a fresh, clean surface. The ability to clean any obstructions will extend the life of the pH electrode. Calibration is performed by pressing the specific calibration button. Once in calibration mode, the pH electrode can be calibrated to 1 or 2 points using the pre-programmed standard buffers (pH 4.01, 7.01 and 10.01). When the standard value is recognized and stability is reached, the meter automatically accepts and stores the calibration value. Configuration options include automatic shutdown and temperature unit displayed. Auto-off options are to turn off the meter after 8 minutes, 60 minutes or turn it off. To enter the setup mode, the user presses a button located in the battery compartment.
