This dog door is amazing and being able to have a back up battery in case of power failure is wonderful.  Power goes out in my area on a frequent basis, usually the power comes right back on, but sometimes not.  Now I don't have to worry about my big dog getting stuck outside or not being able to get out of the house.

Love this product.  No cords going to my dog door.  The battery lasts about a month, depending on how much my dog goes out.Pro:  No cords going to the dog doorCon: I guess you have to change out the battery (I don't really view this as a con)

I like using the batteries instead of plugging the door in, but the batteries don’t last very long. So it is a good thing I have two batteries.
