Alvin's cables really knocked it out of the park on this, the build quality is good, the dummy battery works perfectly except the buttery time remaking is grossly underestimated, Canon engineers must have really not expected people to do this because even with a fully charged 98wh v-mount, the camera displays a maximum of "46mins" of battery time, but then proceeds to go for hours and HOURS on one battery! With that said, I am not a fan of this dummy battery. I shoot a lot of long form videos (documentaries, interviews, etc) and this dummy battery generates A TON of heat from the battery port where it is uncomfortable to hold my camera.
