You cannot really have to make sure you are holding it in place very firmly or bolt it to the drill stand. I use it on my Dremel Drill stand but would not recommend using this on a workshop pillar drill. I can only see 2 bolts fitting if its set diongally. Are people having it connected diagonally?** A: Is there any reason why the two should be compatible in the way you describe? I need to know if this will fit my drill press, thanks** A: I measure mine at approx 9.3 cm, centre to centre across the width of the vise. The slots measure 11 mm across.The fit should be deliberately sloppy so that you can move the vise on the base of the press. I will eventually fit mine using short coach bolts and wing nuts.
