It cuts everything at first pass through. I have used tattered lace, spellbinders, crafters companion, cuttlebug and every other companies dies and embossing folders and the machine works. The only issue is that the plates wear faster then other companies but the wear does not effect how they cut. You can use the A plates from the e bosser which I also own. Hope this helps **Q: How wide is the plate on this Gemini? I want to make cascading cards.** A: The plates are 9 inches wide and 12 1/2 inches long. **Q: can you center your die cutting side down over an image? I do this a lot with my square frame dies as well as using stamp die combos. i** A: I do it and it cuts fine. I can't see that it hurts the die. Love this machine.
