The series 24 is simply the most compelling TV in years. The series takes place in one 24hour period. The amount of investigation, hunting, searching and action spread out through the period is absolutely amazing. The writers themselves deserve numerous awards for their ingenuity and commitment in making the program so exciting and compelling.The program deals with attacks of all types on the USA, from virus, to gas, to nuclear bombs, abduction and murder. Jack Baur (Keifer Sutherland) is CTU's top investigator and does what it takes to hunt down and destroy whatever is threatening the integrity of the United States. Jack's life is commited to defending the States no matter what it takes. Over the years he has lost his wife, (murdered by CTU mole), he has lost contact with his daughter because of things she has suffered, directly relating to her fathers work. He has lost the woman he loves and more, he has lost his life. Jack goes on the run to hide from the American Government, the Chinese Government and comes back to CTU when called to help solve the threat.It is a must watch series to feel the full impact that this series put out to the viewer. Once you start you can't stop.Award Winning in many catagories. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fabuloso fun and beautiful Bauer *by M***S on 17 August 2017* Watched this when it first aired but never saw the last two series. Decided to catch up from the very start as Prime were showing it. Unfortunately they took it off the 'free list' mid season despite my howls of protest! So bought the box set instead as I resented paying per episode, seems I could buy it bit by bit but not view it as part of Prime. The 24 Series is sensational, even after all these years it is crisp, clean and full of action. My only gripe is the way the incumbents keep getting fired, tortured, harrassed and then reinstated all within the course of a couple of hours! but then it is escapism. Adore Kiefer Sutherland I could listen to that voice for hours.
